Shrunz Waterfall or Sharanz Waterfall is located on Ningli stream near the Baba Reshi Shrine in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District. The place has a lot of scope for tourism but sadly the place is not being developed and also, in addition, it can produce hydroelectricity. Shrunz Waterfall is located at a distance of about 5 KM from Baba Reshi Shrine and is a famous spot for tourists visiting Gulmarg or Tangmarg.

The surrounding area of the fall is enriched with pine and fir trees. Many tourists have even compared Shrunz Waterfall with that of Aharbal Waterfalls, located in Anantnag which is known as “The Niagra Fall of Kashmir“.

The Place is a must-visit for adventure lovers as you can trek from Gulmarg, Baba Reshi to the fall. Also, this place has great potential for zip lining. There are some huts in which you can rest and have some snacks. One can take a dip in the chilling water and get refreshed. The place is perfect for sightseeing and getting some awesome nature clicks.

The nearby villages are Saterseen, Dandmoh, Nilson, Choonthpathri, Baldaji, etc. Also, Shrunz Waterfall has been helping the villages to meet their water requirements with the help of water pipes.

The Weather here remains pleasant throughout the year and you will be welcomed by the gushing sound of water as you reach there.

How to Reach Shrunz Waterfall

To reach Shrunz Waterfall, take a turn at Tapper, Choora, or Potukhah Muqam and is about 22 Km from Srinagar-Muzafarabad National highway. You will see signboards on these three places having pictures of Shrunz Waterfall. When you reach Baba Reshi Shrine you can ask somebody for the route and it’s just 5 Km away from the Shrine. It also has road connectivity to Srinagar-Muzafarabad National Highway via Dangarpora, Malpora, Heevan, and Sheer villages. If you’re an adventure seeker then you can also trek by the same route.
